Nayumi Fuller

Nayumi Fuller is deeply passionate about child development. She fell in love with the Montessori method during her schooling at the University of Utah.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Family, Community, and Human Development with a Child Life emphasis in July 2020. She completed her Infant & Toddler Montessori MACTE certificate through Rings of Knowledge in August 2025. 

Nayumi worked as a toddler guide for two years at Dancing Moose Montessori School. She loves the respect, love, and care shown and given in a Montessori environment to toddlers. She sees how important it is for every child to experience Montessori learning. 

Nayumi is a mom to her toddler boy. She loves to spend time outdoors with her son, sing karaoke, and read books.

Sabine Bell

Sabine was born in Utah and has spent much of her life here. While she is well traveled, she always feels a pull to family and her roots. She loves performing and anything to do with music. She has been around the Montessori environment most of her life, and it has always held her fascination. While she has never felt called to be in a classroom, she loves the children and the way that the Montessori program allows them to grow into their own skin and feel comfortable and confident in themselves.

Allison Morris

Allison Morris was born and raised in Bountiful, Utah. She was introduced to the Montessori philosophy when her mother started teaching in Early Childhood when Allison was about 10 years old. Allison brings a deep passion for Early Childhood education and a strong belief in the Montessori philosophy to her classroom every day. She has intermittently participated in Montessori environments since the 1990s. With 8 years of experience working in the classroom with young children, she is dedicated to nurturing independence, curiosity, and a love of learning in each child.

She received her Early Childhood certification through the Institute of Guided Studies. She thoughtfully prepares the environment to encourage hands-on exploration, practical life skills, and peaceful social development.

In addition to her work in the classroom, Mrs. Allison enjoys camping with her family as much as possible. She loves to make many different projects, including sewing or crocheting. Last but not least, she loves to cook and bake a wide variety of things for her family.

Allison is committed to fostering a warm, respectful, and inclusive community where each child is seen, heard, and supported in their unique journey.

Floribeth Camento

Floribeth Camento-Maryon was raised on a farm in Surigao del Sur, Philippines, where she learned the values of hard work and responsibility by helping care for her younger siblings and contributing to her family from an early age. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from St. Francis Xavier College and has hands-on experience as a preschool aide and nanny, including nine years working abroad.

In July 2024, Floribeth moved to Salt Lake City with her husband. She joined Foothill Montessori in September 2024 as a Support Guide in the Infant Room—a role she describes as her dream come true. Her deep love for working with young children has inspired her to pursue Montessori Infant/Toddler certification, which she will begin this summer.

Floribeth believes in nurturing the whole child through patience, respect, and consistency. She is passionate about creating a calm, loving environment where children feel secure to explore, grow, and thrive. Her long-term goal is to become a certified Montessori Lead Guide and continue supporting families during the most formative years of their children’s lives.

Outside of work, Floribeth enjoys crocheting, cross-stitching, cooking, and exploring the outdoors through hiking in Utah’s scenic landscapes. She is also passionate about music and loves to sing. A multilingual speaker, Floribeth speaks four languages, which helps her connect with children and families from diverse backgrounds.

Sydnie Baker

Sydnie grew up in both Nashville, Tennessee, and Oakland, Kentucky. A graduate of culinary school from UVU and former pastry chef, she continues to share her expertise through her work with a small catering company. Since bringing her son to Foothill Montessori of Salt Lake, Sydnie has been drawn to the welcoming environment and dedicated staff, inspiring her to jump in as a substitute and now toddler support guide. An interesting fact about her is she loves to travel and has been to the Bahamas, India, London, and Fiji.

Mary Sam Barth

Mary was an FMSL student 2005-2013! Growing on the method she applied it to many parts of her life, especially professionally. She has worked at a variety of places, such as YMCA Counselor, & Stagehand. Mary is excited to return to her roots and help kids find their spark as her teachers did for her! She now attends USU, set on a Music Production degree, Belmont (Nashville, TN), to help others grow their spark. Mary’s a graduate from SLSPA, 2022. Mary was SBO Pres, on hope squad & more!

Meg Mathews

Meg was raised in Utah County. She completed two years at Brigham Young University before joining Foothill Montessori of Salt Lake in January 2023. Meg is excited to be working on her Early Childhood Certification through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies and expects to receive her certificate in the summer of 2025.

At home, Meg enjoys spending her time with her husband and their young daughter. When she finds the time, she loves to create by illustrating or carving custom linocut prints.

Elise Winther

Elise was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she found her passion for dance music and self-expression from a young age naturally and continued in two decades of professional dance training into her adulthood.

Elise explored many different career opportunities, from motherhood to business management to human resources, and serendipitously she found her way into teaching a few years ago.
Elise is now in her third year at Foothill Montessori of Salt Lake and has enjoyed so much of guiding young curious minds.

In her free time, Elise enjoys collecting new hobbies. She loves finding new activities that inspire movement, music, creativity, and nature. Elise enjoys roller skating, rock climbing, dancing, life music, hiking, kayaking, and just enjoying life. She is an avid reader and writer who has been working on her first young adult novel this year.

Elise is excited to continue to play, learn, and grow with the students of FMSL.

Karey Smith

Karey Smith was born in Lehi and is the oldest of five girls. She was an “Army Brat” and traveled all over until her family settled in New Jersey. She lived in England for a while and then returned to the U.S. to complete her Montessori Infant and Toddler training in Princeton, New Jersey. She then moved to Utah for her Early Childhood Education Montessori training. She has been working in Montessori since the age of 16! She loves to read, listen to music, watch movies, cross-stitch, and spend time with her family. Little known fact about Karey: her sisters are all named with K’s: Krissy, Krisha, Kendra, and Kimberly. Her mom’s name is Karen. Her dad’s name: Bob!! She has been a certified Montessori Guide in Early Childhood for over 27 years and has been at Foothill Montessori since 1997.

Kendalyn Mathews

Ms. Kendalyn was born and raised in Utah, surrounded by the Montessori philosophy from an early age. Having grown up with this unique approach to education, she developed a deep appreciation for its emphasis on independence, curiosity, and hands-on learning. The Montessori method has always inspired her and continues to shape her educational journey and approach in the classroom. Currently, she is interning and working towards receiving her Montessori credentials through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies (CGMS), further deepening her expertise and commitment to the Montessori way.
